September Registration Day for SIM Flower Mound Residents

Members are asked to register for special events and trips. Members may register starting at 9 a.m. at the Flower Mound Senior Center, at the Community Activity Center, or online at https://activenet.active.com/ flowermoundparksandrec. Registration order will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment for trips and events are due at the time of registration and can be made with cash, check, or credit card. The Code # corresponds with the online registration number.

INSTRUCTOR: JODY This gentle yoga class will help increase flexibility, balance, and strength.

SIM Fitness: Pilates Barre

INSTRUCTOR: JODY Pilates focuses on strengthening your CORE & improving your posture. Barre work uses basic ballet moves for both arms & legs to improve muscle tone and balance. Designed for the beginner, so come join us! Chairs can be used for support.

Creative Art: Learn to Draw

Learn the most important building block of all art! Join instructor Sandra Willet for this new drawing class that will meet each Thursday.

SIM Fitness: Tone & Condition

INSTRUCTOR: MARGO Increase muscular strength, endurance, range of movement, flexibility, balance, agility, and coordination. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Health & Wellness: Massage Therapy **NEW**

Volunteer, Ana Rodriguez, will be performing chair massages for members. Book a 15 minute appointment to relax for a few minutes! Max 2 sessions per person/per month. MUST register in person.

July Creative Arts: **Oil Painting** NEW

Come learn to oil paint with artist Sandra Willet. This beginners class will include basic instructions for using the materials, color mixing and final composition. Hope you can come join the fun!

Educational Class: Improv for Seniors

Improv is one of the core techniques used by actors to stretch imagination, spark spontaneity, and give unforgettable performances. SIM volunteer, Richard Sheff , will lead this class through Improv activities. No experience necessary. No memorizing lines. Please bring your sense of humor!

Computer & Technology: Tech Thursdays

Get your computer and technology questions answered in weekly classes with SIM volunteer, Van Elliott. Sessions cover a variety of topics including smartphones, Windows, apps, Facebook, and more!

Fellowship Groups: Melting Pot Meet-Up

Meet up with this diverse group to explore the diversity and culture of the SIM membership! Each week, the group will meet for pot-lucks, karaoke, educational seminars, dancing, and more!

SIM Fitness: Line Dancing

SIM volunteers will lead participants in the latest and greatest line dances. Dance to everything from the Cupid Shuffle to the Boot Scootin’ Boogie!
