SIM Fitness: Bodies by Ben

Flower Mound Community Activity Center’s personal trainer, Ben Bailey, will teach a 6-week fitness and strength training workshop focusing on exercises, cardio, nutrition tips, and more to maintain your health.

SIM Fitness: Yoga

INSTRUCTOR: JODY This gentle yoga class will help increase flexibility, balance, and strength.

SIM Fitness: Tone & Condition

INSTRUCTOR: MARGO Increase muscular strength, endurance, range of movement, flexibility, balance, agility, and coordination. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Educational Class: Intro to Spanish

It is never too late to learn something new! Spanish tutor, Ofelia Gabel, will teach participants the basics of Spanish.

SIM Fitness: Pound It Out

INSTRUCTOR: JILL Pound It Out is an exercise format that uses weighted drumsticks to relieve stress by hitting a yoga ball to rock and roll music. Fun either sitting or standing!

Get into the Game: Payout Poker

Winners will split the money collected. Prizes will not exceed $10.

Creative Art: Art House Acrylic Workshop

Instructor Sue will lead a month-long workshop where students build painting skills and complete beautiful works of art. Supply list is available at the Senior Center Courtesy Desk.

Volunteers from the National Charity League and the Young Men’s Service League will be on hand for one-on-one technology tutoring. Bring a smart phone, tablet, laptop, or use the SIM computers to get technology questons answered.

INSTRUCTOR: SUSAN With several levels of Tai Chi, you will learn the restorative powers of Tai Chi for the mind and body.

SIM Fitness: Intro to Tai Chi Workshop

Have you always wanted to try Tai Chi? In this 6-week course, you will learn the fundamentals of Tai Chi and a short, easy-to-learn Tai Chi form. You will also be provided with a few free videos for practicing on your own. Learn this beautiful movement art to increase your balance, strength and health!
