Heritage Park 600 Spinks Rd. Flower Mound, TX 75028
The Town, in partnership with the Denton County India Cultural Association, is hosting its first Diwali: Festival of Lights on Saturday, Oct. 15! The traditional Indian holiday celebrates the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and strength over fear. Join us at Heritage Park (600 Spinks Rd.) from 5 to 9 p.m. for music, dance performances, Indian cuisine and street food, vendor booths, a fashion show, and much more. You'll also be able to enjoy beautiful works of rangoli art, which are intricate designs traditionally created using powders and sands. Since we'll be outside, our rangoli art will be created using colorful chalk. This event is free, and open to all. To learn more, please visit www.flower-mound.com/events.
