Town Recognizes Newest Hometown Hero

Hometown Hero Jessie Guajardo

We’re thrilled to introduce you to Flower Mound’s newest Hometown Hero. At Monday’s Council meeting, Mayor Derek France recognized U.S. Army National Guard Captain Jessie Guajardo. Jessie grew up in Flower Mound, attending Garden Ridge Elementary and Forestwood Middle Schools before graduating from Flower Mound High School in 2007.

He continued his education at Texas Tech University, where he joined the ROTC program. In 2011, Jessie graduated with a degree in Marketing and commissioned as an officer into the Army National Guard. We’re honored that Jessie, his wife, Grace, their son, Colby, and their two dogs call Flower Mound home. Thank you for your service!

During Monday night’s meeting, Mayor Derek France presented Jessie and his family with a Hometown Hero Proclamation and banner that hung in Flower Mound for three months. Flower Mound’s Hometown Heroes program is sponsored by Ad Art Sign Company. To learn more about the program, visit www.flower-mound.com/hometownhero.
