The second annual Flower Mound Junior Leadership Program is officially underway! Over the next eight months, 35 juniors and seniors from Flower Mound High School and Edward S. Marcus High School will learn essential leadership skills to help them enter the workforce and be successful. Each month, local businesses will host the students to give them the ability to meet with leaders in multiple fields, including business, government, healthcare, and more.
During orientation in August, students heard from Town Manager James Childers, Mayor Derek France, and the Town's Economic Development team. The program’s sponsor, the Texas Trust Gives Foundation, also presented LISD with a generous donation of $8,600. We're excited to be offering this program in partnership with the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce and Lewisville ISD, and we can't wait to see all the great things these students do during these next eight months and beyond!
