Town Hosting Several Events in September

September has arrived, and with it, some amazing Town events! Here’s your lineup of things to do in Flower Mound this month:

Sept. 11, 2001 Remembrance Ceremony

On Monday, Sept. 11, at 8:30 a.m., join us as the Flower Mound Fire Department and Flower Mound Police Department lead a ceremony remembering and honoring the thousands of lives lost in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Residents are invited to gather outside Town Hall (2121 Cross Timbers Rd.) as we hear remarks from Fire Chief Paul Henley, Police Chief Andy Kancel, and more. The ceremony will end with the Ringing of the Bell and the playing of bagpipes.

On Saturday, Sept. 16, join us for a Movie at Heritage Park! You and your family can enjoy the film “Puss in Boots” under Flower Mound’s night sky. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs for this free event. You can start setting up at 6 p.m., and the movie will begin at 7:30 p.m. Boardwalk Bites food truck will be on site selling food. Registration is not required.

Flower Mound's four-legged friends are invited to make a splash at our annual Doggie Dive on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 8:30 to 11 a.m.! Your dog can enjoy some water park fun, puppuccinos, and snack on some tasty treats. All participants will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win prizes. Please arrive early so Flower Mound Animal Services can verify a current rabies vaccination. Pre-registration is required, and spots are limited. End the month at our third annual Arts Festival at Heritage Park! On Saturday, Sept. 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., enjoy live performance, shop local art vendors, help create two new community murals, make arts and crafts, and more!
