New Artist Featured on the Town Hall Art Display Wall

Artist Eric Scholes wears a light blue shirt and black glasses and stands in front of his paintings.

A new artist has taken over the Town Hall art display wall! These wonderful pieces from Eric Scholes were installed this week. Eric was born in England 79 years ago. When he was 17, he enlisted in the British Army and served in Cyprus and the Middle East. In the late 90s, Eric retired and moved to Spain, where he lived for 28 years. That’s when his love of painting blossomed. In 2019, Eric moved to Flower Mound to be closer to his family. Thank you for sharing your art with us, Eric!

You can view these pieces at Town Hall, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until the end of September. All art displayed on the Town Hall art wall is chosen by the Art Selection Committee, comprised of Town staff and Cultural Arts Commission members. For information on the program, selection criteria, and how to submit artwork for consideration, please visit

Fourteen of Eric Scholes paintings hang on the art display wall in Town Hall.
