Town Honors Hometown Hero Jon Kraatz

The parents of Petty Officer Jon Kraatz pose with Mayor Derek France.

During Monday’s Town Council meeting, we were honored to welcome another Hometown Hero into Flower Mound’s ranks. Petty Officer Jon Kraatz grew up in Flower Mound and attended Bridlewood Elementary and Downing Middle schools before graduating in 2019 from Marcus High School. After his graduation, Jon was accepted into the Navy Nuclear Propulsion program in Goose Creek, South Carolina. This summer, he graduated that program as a Nuclear Electrician Mate (EMN3). Jon now serves aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Serving in the Navy has always been a dream of Petty Officer Kraatz, and he is proud to be the third generation in his family to do so. We’re exceptionally proud to claim you as one of our Hometown Heroes, Jon!
