Collection Boxes for Worn American Flags at Town Facilities

An American flag

Did you know there are collection boxes at multiple Town of Flower Mound facilities for worn and tattered American flags? 🇺🇸 If your flags are ready to be retired, place them in the boxes found at Town Hall, the Community Activity Center, the Library, the Senior Center, Flower Mound Municipal Court, and Fire Stations 2, 3, 4, and 5.

The boxes at Town Hall, the CAC, and the Library are checked and emptied by Boy Scout Troop 262 each October before they’re properly retired in a ceremony in November.

The boxes at Flower Mound Fire Stations 2-5, Municipal Court, and the Senior Center are maintained and emptied by Boy Scout Troop 709. If you’re dropping a flag off at one of these boxes and it’s full, email usflags@summitclub.org to let them know it needs to be emptied.
