Town Honors Hometown Hero Jordyn Carlson

Jordyn Carlson's family and Mayor Derek France at the May 2, 2022 Town Council meeting.

Help us welcome Flower Mound’s newest Hometown Hero! BM3 Jordyn Carlson graduated from Marcus High School in 2019. He enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in March 2020 and attended boot camp in Cape May, New Jersey. As a testament to his character, while in boot camp, Jordyn was designated as Spiritual Leader for his barracks. After graduating boot camp, he was sent to Key West, Florida for his first duty station aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Mohawk. Upon completing his first deployment and receiving all of his qualifications out at sea, Jordyn was given the captain’s challenge coin. After a second deployment aboard the Mohawk, graduating A school, and getting married all in 2021, Jordyn and his wife now move on to their next chapter at Station Boston. Thank you for your service, Jordyn!

During the Town Council meeting on Monday, May 2, Mayor Derek France presented Jordyn’s mother and father with a Hometown Hero proclamation and a banner, which has been hanging in Flower Mound for weeks in Jordyn’s honor. Flower Mound’s Hometown Hero Banner program is sponsored by Ad Art Sign company.
