Say hello to Flower Mound’s newest Hometown Hero! During the Jan. 3 Town Council meeting, Mayor Derek France proclaimed Hunter Leyendecker a Hometown Hero. In 2018, Hunter and his family moved to Flower Mound. After his graduation from Flower Mound High School in 2019, Hunter joined the U.S. Air Force and attended bootcamp at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland to become a Med Tech. Currently, he is stationed at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida as part of the 6th Medical Group. Thank you for serving our country with diligence and honor, Hunter! We salute you.
At the Town Council meeting, Mayor France presented Hunter’s parents with a Hometown Hero proclamation and a banner, which has been hanging in Flower Mound for weeks in Hunter’s honor.
Flower Mound’s Hometown Hero Banner program is sponsored by Ad Art Sign Company. If you’d like to learn more about the program or nominate someone who served or is serving in the U.S. military, please visit www.flower-mound.com/hometownheroes.
