Virtual Junior Police Academy (JPA)

Bridging the Gap Between Law Enforcement and Youth

10 to 11 a.m. 



Students entering seventh and eighth grade in the fall are invited to be a part of the exciting Flower Mound Police Department Junior Police Academy this summer via Zoom. Presentations will include the K-9 unit, Investigative Services Department, Traffic unit, the SWAT team, Marine Safety Unit, Bike team, Training unit, and more. Students will be able to ask questions and talk with the officers via Zoom. The overall purpose of the program is to motivate young people while enhancing leadership skills and encouraging community participation.
 
JPA is free, however students must have internet capability, a microphone, and camera on their phone, tablet, or computer to participate. Sessions will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. throughout the week. Space is limited; parents are asked to complete a registration form online. Please note, the Zoom link will be sent to the email address provided on the application. All registration forms are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 26.
