Flower Mound is going to have a VIP guest this holiday season! Beginning on Monday, Dec. 11, Santa will be in town for a few days while he plans the best route to take on Christmas Eve. Each night from 6 to 8 p.m. through Sunday, Dec. 17, our firefighters will be escorting him around local neighborhoods on a fire engine as he plans out his way. When he gets close to your house, you’ll see lights and hear the sirens and music so make sure to come outside and give him a wave.
As you can imagine, this is the busiest time of the year for Santa, and while he’d love to travel down every road in Town, he just won’t be able to fit it into his schedule. If you don’t see your street on his planned route, don’t worry! Just walk or drive over to the nearest street he’ll be riding down and wave hello. The fire engine will be traveling slowly through these neighborhoods, so you’ll have plenty of time to get a look at Santa. Just make sure you keep your distance from the firetruck.
On Friday, Dec. 15, Santa and our crew will begin driving at 6 p.m. at Cross Timbers Road and Old Cross Timbers Road. If you’re looking for a good spot to wave to Santa along the route, we suggest Post Oak Park (4751 Flower Mound Rd.) or Fire Station #7 (2777 Skillern Rd.), just make sure not to block the fire station doors.
Remember, if you see your street along one of Santa’s routes tonight and in the coming days, please try to park your car in a driveway if possible. See you all soon!
