Proposed Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone 2

The Town of Flower Mound proposed establishing a second tax increment reinvestment zone (TIRZ) to provide funds for public infrastructure to approximately 3,962 acres of land generally located at the intersection of FM 1171 (Cross Timbers Road) and US 377. In anticipation, Town staff invited representatives from P3Works, a firm specializing in helping cities and counties create and administer TIRZs, to present an overview of the technical aspects of a TIRZ at the Sept. 19, 2022, Town Council meeting. During a Town Council meeting on Monday, Oct. 2, 2023, Council considered a resolution setting a public hearing under section 311.003 of the Texas tax code for the creation of the tax increment reinvestment zone.
