Andrew Upchurch graduated from Marcus High School in 2019 before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 2021. Andrew successfully graduated boot camp in Great Lakes, Illinois as a Recruit Chief Petty Officer. From there, Andrew completed A School in Wichita Falls, Texas and Combat Training in Gulf Port, Mississippi. He recently completed a deployment abroad and is now stationed in Port Hueneme, California.
Mayor Pro Tem Engel presented Andrew’s family with a Hometown Hero Proclamation and banner. Flower Mound’s Hometown Hero program is sponsored by Ad Art Sign Company and began in 2012 to honor the men and women in our community who served or are serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
