Online Application Process 

Planning Services utilizes an online development application and plan review process through eTRAKiT. The process is designed to increase efficiency, improve customer service, and reduce the number of paper submittals. It also allows for convenient online payment of fees. Please go to the bottom of the page and click on the eTRAKiT button, or scan the QR code with your Smart device, to be directed to the site.

Please contact Planning staff prior to submitting an application at 972.874.6350 or planning@flower-mound.com. That way we can make sure you understand the process for setting up a User Name and Password; you know the type of application that is needed and what documents are required; and you have a realistic expectation for follow-up and scheduling.

Then follow the INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILING AN ONLINE APPLICATION.

Once the application has been accepted and review has begun, please follow the INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADDING NEW ATTACHMENTS.

Submission Requirements:

The Town has specific submission requirements for each project type, and those are detailed in the checklists listed below. A complete and accurate application will avoid unnecessary delays in the development review process.

Anyone interested in submitting an application under the Town of Flower Mound's regulations for Mixed Use development should please contact the Planning Services Department, at 972.874.6350 or planning@flower-mound.com. 

Inactive Application Policy

Per Town policy, a development application will be considered withdrawn if there has been no activity by the applicant on the project for a period of six months.  Activity is defined as response to comments, payments of fees, or submittal of supporting documentation or studies.  The assigned Planning Services Project Manager will email the applicant after a three-month period of inactivity to remind them of this deadline.  To activate an officially withdrawn case, it will need to be submitted as a new application to the Town of Flower Mound in accordance with current standards and procedures at the time of submission.
