Project Description
Rheudasil Park, located at 2401 Lake Forest Blvd., is named after Bob Rheudasil, the first mayor of Flower Mound. The 10.02 acre community park was deeded to the Town in 1987.
The Rheudasil Park Improvement Project is a renovation of the active areas of the park and was designed by Studio Outside, based off of the approved Master Plan, which was approved in December 2014. The design and construction of the project was delayed until completion of the dredging and bank stabilization project, which was completed in 2018. The project will bring the park up to current day standards and will upgrade many amenities that have surpassed their life cycle. The project will also add citizen-requested pond amenities, such as a small fishing pier and boardwalk.
Park improvements will include:
- Lighted boardwalk
- Playground area for 2-5 year olds and 5-12 year olds
- Basketball court
- Pavilion and restroom structure
- Enhanced landscaping
- Trail
- Sidewalk renovation along Lake Forest Boulevard
- Small fishing pier
