Notifications for Proposed Projects and Regulations

Projects received by Planning Services are added to the Town's Development Projects interactive map. This map categorizes projects into tabs based on their status and provides information such as the project description, consideration dates, and approved plans.

To help interested individuals know more about projects within the Town, an email/text notification system has been created. When a project is scheduled to be considered by the Planning and Zoning Commission and/or Town Council, an alert is activated for the appropriate zone.

There is also an additional alert option for a Land Development Regulation (LDR) is scheduled to be considered by the Planning and Zoning Commission and/or Town Council. LDR's are additions and/or amendments to the Town’s Code of Ordinances that affect planning and development within the Town, including residential, commercial, industrial, mixed-use, and institutional projects.

Zone 1: From the western border of Flower Mound to Marshall Creek. Includes Cross Timbers Road (FM 1171)/US 377 intersection and Flower Mound's portion of I-35W. The north and southern borders are the Town's corresponding boundaries.

Zone 2: Marshall Creek serves as the western boundary and the eastern boundary is comprised of Lusk Lane, Flower Mound Road, and travels south along Simmons Road (following the intersection of Flower Mound Road). The north and southern borders are the Town's corresponding boundaries.

Zone 3: Encompasses the area from Lusk Lane to the Town's eastern boundary. The northern border of Zone 3 is the Town's northern boundary line and extends south until Cross Timbers Road (FM 1171).

Zone 4: Extends from Flower Mound Road on the western border to the Town's eastern boundary and encompasses  the area between Cross Timbers Road (FM 1171) and Flower Mound Road (FM 3040).

Zone 5: From Simmons Road to the eastern border of Flower Mound and from Flower Mound Road (FM 3040) south to the Grapevine border.

Land Development Regulations (LDR): Affects the entire Town of Flower Mound.
