Coffee with a Cop

To strengthen community partnerships, the Flower Mound Police Department holds “Coffee with a Cop” community meetings. The purpose of “Coffee with a Cop” is for FMPD Officers and members of the community to come together in an informal setting to discuss community issues and build relationships.

Unfortunately, the majority of law enforcement interactions within a community occur during emergencies or situations not conducive to strengthening relationships. With each quarterly “Coffee with a Cop” program, officers will be able to talk one-on-one with residents in an informal setting. Flower Mound Police Officers will hold each meeting at a different location, in an effort to hear from all residents. Coffee with a Cop is a national initiative supported by the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services.
