The Town of Flower Mound began the Hometown Heroes program in 2012, to honor our community’s men and women who served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Those who wish to participate and meet the qualifications can have a banner created with their loved one’s name and photo on it to be displayed in Flower Mound.

Hometown Heroes will be an ongoing program and the Town will accept applications throughout the year for those who wish to sponsor a banner. Banners depicting our local heroes will be displayed for three months, and will then be presented to the individual or family during a Town Council meeting along with a proclamation acknowledging the individual’s service to the Town and nation. Please note, the Town will honor one Hometown Hero a month.

Applications are available Monday through Friday at Town Hall, during normal business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or printable online. The costs associated with the banner creation are covered by Ad Art Sign Company in Flower Mound.
