FMPD Collecting School Supplies for CACDC

The Flower Mound Police Department is once again supporting the Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County (CACDC), by participating in their Back to School program! This program provides school supplies for the children receiving therapy services at CACDC, as well as their school-aged siblings. These families rely heavily on the support and generosity of the community to help provide necessary school supplied for their children before it’s time to head back into the classroom. Needed supplies include:

  • Backpacks
  • Pencils (wood, mechanical)
  • Pens (black, blue, red
  • Binders
  • Paper (construction, wide ruled, college ruled)
  • Crayons, markers, highlighters
  • Glue (sticks, and regular)
  • Facial tissues
  • Pencil bags/boxes
  • Rulers
  • Post-it notes
  • Scissors
  • Notebooks (composition, wide ruled, college ruled)

Gift cards to Staples, Target, and Walmart are also accepted. Please drop donations off at the Flower Mound Police Department before Thursday, August 3, in order for FMPD staff to deliver the supplies to CACDC on Friday, August 4. Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County empowers child abuse victims, their families and the community through education, healing, and justice. To date, CACDC has served more than 10,000 abused children since it opened its doors in 1997.
